I'm Feeling Good!

Obviously it's much too early to be making any sort of predictions but i'm hopeful and truly believe that we are going to win this thing.
Yeah!
Here's a bit of encouragement for you:

Voter Intimidation Already Happening

Essentially, you vote for George W. Bush or follow Bush's rules and disallow freedom and this is what happens.
US Journalist punched, arrested by officer outside Florida Voting Office

But here's some better news:
Judge bars challengers at Ohio polls
Finally, someone with some sense. How is 'checking people at the polls' fair? these vile Republicans will stop at nothing. They are pure evil and must be vanquished.

I mean, look at this bullshit from my home state:
Misleading Calls Made to Michigan Voters
Telling people that Kerry would make gay marriage legal.
first of all, he has already said that he won't do that, though i think that's highly lame to say that.
the sanctity of marriage? the lamest thing i've ever heard.
wake up people. how does gay marriage affect your life in any way? it's a total non-issue and is all about discrimination and hatred.
Everyone knows the Republicans are racist bastards so why not spread the hate in the name of Jesus?

11:03 a.m.
I'm just now getting online after being at work for an hour. Everyone in my department was moved on Friday, along with a ton of other people, a mass move within the campus, but big surprise, the movers screwed a lot of things up.
At present, i have no keyboard tray, so it's already hurting my wrists to write right now. So feel lucky, you peasants! Fuzzy shit.
no really, i can muddle through my hardships, my tough breaks, you know? i'm a strong guy with a mandate and i'm not messing around.
the movers totally criss-crossed my connections with another PC tower they brought along with my stuff, despite the fact that i didn't put a sticker on it and therefore shouldn't have been moved.
problem is that second tower is counted on by all of our international peeps for access, so they is pissed in Omaha, Dublin, London and Berlin. But they're stoked in Bombay.
maybe not. i know nothing about Bombay. But damn, Kabul is stoked.
of course, i managed to figure out the problems. everything is wrong.
the whole world is wrong.
at least the people that dont' see things my way.

ok, my wrists really are hurting from writing this way. guess i'll need to go home and curl up in a ball and wait for death to come.

ok, now let's get dour, yo!

insta-thoughts on present-day shit:
Optimistic yet freaked on the ground here in Cali.

The Packers won, though. Heh. Victory is assured. Yes.

I don't know, my gut is telling me Kerry is going to win. But i'm also highly concerned about voter fraud (check the story link above).

so many variables can still happen. But i just feel like kerry is going to win, more decisively than anyone thinks.
I could be wrong of course.
If it's razor-thin, we won't know for weeks, i'd guess, and that will favor Bush, the longer it goes on especially so.

However, I really can't fathom Bush conceding unless it's a wash.
Really, i can think of few things i'll relish more right now than to watch Bush pout and have to concede. it'll be sweet.
I almost feel like if Bush does go down hard, he could show his true colors in the next few months and really try to muck things up. I can also see him going completely bonkers/apeshit. It's not beyond him to do so. i think he could snap completely.

Honestly, i am sincerely afraid for our future if Bush wins.
I'm kinda glad i don't have any kids.

Eventually everyone will realize what a monster Bush really is but it'll be too late at that point.

God, everything is so troubling.

But don't put too much faith in any of the mainstream news organizations. They still make me mad when they say shit like 'newsweek says bush is up by 8' on nbc and i'm like 'what the hell are you reading/smoking?'
I go online immediately and all the polls tell me otherwise.

Also, remember, at this point in 2000, some polls had bush up by 12-13 points, so...voter turnout is everything.

Yeah, I seem to have a clear understanding of what's going to happen.
Glad i helped you work through your doubts.

Now let's go get some custard pie...

Holla For Halloween

Well, it's officially over now, but we just concluded another Halloween holiday.
Very exciting.
Though, with so much going on in the world right now (like the Ashlee Simpson SNL scandal), it seemed more inconsequential than usual.
i like Halloween but i wasn't as up for it this year.
but it was neat nonetheless.
actually, i had the most halloween fun on friday at work. many people got dressed. so of course, i was my oft-used alter ego, Jay T. Tempura, Public Instigator. Proudly wearing my knit yellow suit, along with the dapper Jay T. wide-brimmed hat and Overlays For the People, i reigned over many, and was the envy of some.
i accompanied Magilla Gorilla around the campus chaos, as that damn gorilla wreaked havoc upon several alarmed citizens.

Funny fuzzy spuzzy.

i spun an amazingly good dj set saturday night at the Slanted Door, which was schooly cool. shit yeah. no dressy uppy, though i hit the town with MollyGoLightly, Bee Mindful and more.
jay t. re-emerged for the children, because it's all for the children, and we hit Dalva for some DJ action from our pal, SilenceFiction, welcoming us with a Stone Roses classic. Madchester is back yeah!!
not really, though i still have my dance moves.

then it was on to more parties and lovefests for people of various shades. we enjoyed ourselves but bade farewell after a short time because i was in need of returning home for shelter, sleep and sunshine.
not necessarily in that order.
or not in any order.
but you know, the excitement surrounding helloween wasn't quite up to snuff, as i mentioned previously, so you know, death's door was looming.

i find myself growing weary, for the day is done.
but there is more to be told, ye.

few more things before the night is through:

Here's the final nail in the coffin for Kerry's victory on Tuesday.

Kerry Claims Victory After Redskins' Loss

So, the story goes, if the Washington Redskins win the Sunday before Election Day, the incumbent wins. If they lose, the incumbent goes down in a ball of flames.
well, guess what? Redskins lost.
That story above also mentions various other unconventional wisdom related to the election, most seeming to favor Sen. Kerry.
To me, the momentum seems to be going with Kerry.
But it's so difficult to know.
Fuck!

Hey, you didn't expect to me to avoid all forms of voter angst, did you?

i am retiring for the evening. Don't wait up for me.

don't eat the frantic cockroaches either.
they're frantic after all.

Having a Bad Week, Buddy?

Confetti falls too soon on our poor dumb 'Prez'
BUSH EVENT IN NEW HAMPSHIRE: Event workers had been told to fire off confetti pods when Bush said, 'God Bless'... his normal closing line. But 5 minutes before the end of his speech, Bush offered a "God Bless" to Arlene Howard, mother of George Howard a Port Authority of New York/New Jersey Police Officer killed in the World Trade Center... BLAM!!!!! Everyone first ducked -- hard -- then looked up to see confetti falling. Bush looked momentarily stunned, then plain unhappy, then just went on with his speech as the confetti rained to the floor of the Verizon Wireless Arena...

And then there's the little controversy about using a song without permission.

Scary

Things are getting very very nasty and i expect them to get much much worse between now and Tuesday.
I'm becoming very frightened now that real violence is going to occur, perpetrated by crazed Republicans who maintain they are trying to ensure their are no voting irregularities, but who are themselves causing much more mischief than Democrats - precisely because they know that's the only way they're going to win.
So sad, really.
And so pathetic, that people are being threatened and intimidated attempting to fulfill their consititutional rights as citizens.
never mind that we now have a supposed terrorist threat, saying there will be death and destruction if Bush wins.
and there's the arafat factor, who's at death's door.
or the missing munitions from iraq, 380 tons of explosives, that we did nothing about.

My God.
WWIII, including a civil war in the u.s.?
could happen.

Civil War

As the election nears, myself along with many of my friends are starting to freak out.
What if this ilegitimate piece of shit wins this election? Of course the Republican party is pulling out the stops to try and stop people from voting, something that's guaranteed by the constitution.
Bush has divided this country like nobody else. i don't see how anyone could vote for him.
How could you vote for a hateful warmongering liar who went to war for pretty much no reason whatsoever?
How could you vote for someone who wants to loot social security and privatize it, thereby taking it out of government guarantees and instead hand it off to corporations?
How could you vote for someone who has lied to us every step of the way about everything he has ever done?
Someone who was AGAINST the 9/11 commission?
Someone who has presided over the worst net job loss since Herbert Hoover was in office (you may have heard of the Depression)?
Who cuts taxes for the very rich but does nothing for the middle class?
Who wants to make tax cuts permanent and thereby undermine the financial stability of the United States?
Who preaches hatred and intolerance of others?
Who, by ignoring the pleas of weapon inspectors (who were fucking right, btw, since there were no Weapons of Mass Destruction), created more enemies of the world than ever before?
Who acts as if he is sent by God himself and has a hotline to heaven?
Are you fucking serious?

Then you know what...
Fuck you.
Fuck you if you're voting for Bush.
Fuck you if all you care about is yourself.
Fuck you if you don't care about the future or your children.
Fuck you all, you stupid, self-centered Republicans.

If you're voting for Bush, you're my enemy.
if there's one thing Bush as been successful at, it's dividing us more than ever before.
I see us devolving into potential civil war.
Every time i see a Bush sticker or sign, i immediately think 'what's wrong with them? how can you be so fucking stupid?'
maybe you're ignorant. Maybe you just don't care, you're apathetic, or saying that 'neither guy is good.' ok, if that's you're reason, then why go with someone who has proven to be the most incompetent president we've ever had.

Whatever the reason, to me, if you're voting for Bush, you're not my friend.
I don't want you as my friend.
If you're reading this and you are pro-Bush, then fuck you. Don't bother contacting me again.
If you're stupid enough to actually believe that Bush is going to help this country, then you're worthless to me.
You obviously aren't thinking logically or honestly.
You aren't coming to terms with the truth.
Yesterday a friend of mine was freaking out worrying that Bush is going to win (of course, the only way Bush can win is by cheating, just like in 2000 - people seem to forget that Bush lost the election), saying he's waking up at night with nightmares, based on anxiety around the election. What kind of president is this that affects us in our daily lives?
A supremely horrible and dangerous president.

How can anyone be for someone who has been so hateful, so polarizing?
Do you really think bullying around the rest of the world is the right thing to do? And now there are more terrorists than ever before.
Never mind that we never found Osama Bin Laden, supposedly our sworn enemy after 9/11. how does anyone explain that?
Or that Iraq had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11.
How can so many people be duped by this man?
Christ, he's never even fought in a war. daddy got him out of it, remember?
Back when Clinton was president, Rebublicans used to criticize him for being a draft-dodger.
Yet, how is Bush any different?
Is he a strong president because he overcompensates for his inadequacies and weaknesses by acting like mr. tough guy with the rest of the world?
How is it that changing one's mind after given additional facts is wrong?
Life is all about nuance and change. Hello?
Everything Bush supposedly stands for is just total bullshit.

Tell the families of the all the soldiers that were killed looking for bush's weapons of mass destruction that this was something worth fighting for.

here's your Christian president

and here's some more anger for you from Eminem
Just know that the people WILL rise up and take this nation back from the hateful, weak-ass warmongering Bush is doing.

Fuck you Bush.
And fuck anyone who votes for him.

Fuck the GOP.
Fuck the liars
Fuck Bush, you filthy incompetent antichrist

Yeah, that's what i said.
Bush just might be the AntiChrist.

You think I'm paranoid?
No. I'm being real.
There's much more to all this bullshit surrounding Bush, 9/11, the Iraq war and everything else.
Seriously.
Here's one man's opinion.

Strange things are afoot at Circle K

What's going on today? Besides it being October 21. Maybe this strangeness started last night?
OK, the Boston Red Sox win was last night, sure. But come ON! They did something no team has done in Major League history, come back and won a Best of 7 series after being down 3-0. Amazing. I'm not even a baseball fan much anymore, and i'm sooo into this.
Awesome.

Now, back to Circle K strangeness:
Um, well, I just spotted the infamous Pets.com sock puppet atop someone's cube here at work.
i love the Pets.com sock puppet! For those of you who don't recall, the sock puppet is often alluded to when people refer to the inanity of the late 1990s and the whole dot.com bubble that burst.
still, i loved the sock puppet. god bless it.

ok, then, i get to my chair at work this morning and i find a banana sitting in my seat. i ain't falling for no banana in the tailpipe shit (thank you Eddie Murphy), but still, it is a mystery. truly and definitely.

finally, my brand spanking new Apple laptop has JUST arrived at my desk. all i can do is stare at it intently, marveling at its brilliance. ok, a little over the top, but then again, when am i not over the top?

ya know?
god bless us everyone.

I'm gonna go back to listening to the Scissor Sisters now.
leave me be, hear ye.

35

And so here it is. 35. Damn. Crazy.
Amazingly, i'm still alive.
OK, not amazingly.
but hey, i'm stoked.

i did many fine things on my birthday fun time weekend, i must say.
Friday night was a blast, first dinner at Zuni in SF, which was definitely one of the best meals i've ever had. i even tried fresh oysters, which were kind of freaky, but i ate two of them. First time in my life. We drank fine wine, excellent champagne and various other things.

Then, onto the mission for drinks and stuff with a large group of friends. That was so great!
look at me, all gushing and stuff.
i got tanked. but i'm glad i did.
i couldn't believe how many people made it out.
so rockin!
more later.
