Katt Williams!
Yes, all 4 Katt Williams shows were sold out at Oakland's Paramount Theatre.
But Teemoney and I didn't care.
We were gonna see our man Katt.
Sure enough, we waltz in to the box office and ask hopefully "Do you by chance have any tickets for tonight?"(big venues usually release some tickets right before showtime that were being saved for various corporate and press purposes).
The woman smiled at us and obviously could tell we were really really wanting to see Katt.
"Why yes we do! How does 8th row sound?
Um, wow!
And he brought the house down like we knew he would.
I love Katt Williams. He's one of the harshest comedians out there and I love him for it. He speaks his mind, speaks the truth and just goes way above and beyond what you expect.
No, honestly, Katt Williams is, without question, one of the funniest comedians i've ever seen and somehow manages to also give his audiences a positive self-help message in the process while hammering home his ideals amidst scores of funny anecdotes and observations.
I'm including three clips, the first being PG-13 because it was originally broadcast on BET, the second and third from an HBO special last year and are extremely harsh with a whole LOT of NSFW language.
Go Katt Go!

Today In Yacht Rock News
NOGALES, MEXICO—After nearly 20 years on the run, Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Christopher Cross finally reached the Mexican border Monday. "I had such a long way to go,"said Cross, who fled south after gunning down 10 in 1980, "but I've finally made it to the border of Mexico." Doctors, who described Cross' body as "weak," said much sleep would be necessary to restore the health of the fugitive adult-contemporary vocalist.
Pillow Fight!
Last night was the 3rd annual Valentine's Day Pillow Fight at the Justin Herman Plaza in San Francisco. And this is the third time i've missed it. It always starts at 6 p.m., which makes it difficult to get there on time. One of these years i'll make it.
Above is some video taken by Scott Beale of Laughing Squid.
For much more on the pillow fight, check Laughing Squid. There's even audio, which adds to the experience.
Or Pillow Fight Info, which has a link to pics on flickr.
Too Much Butt
Uhhh, wtf? How does this happen? Plastic surgery? Swimsuit much too small?
Weird.

Radiohead's 'In Rainbows' Gets the Remix Treatment From Oakland's Amplive
Oakland producer Amplive has been given the go-ahead by Radiohead to release Rainydayz Remixes, an unauthorized remix project of the group's latest album, In Rainbows, online for free after initially being served a cease and desist order.
Amplive radically alters 7 tracks from the album and gets some bigname vocal help from Bay Area artists like Del Tha Funkee Homosapien on "Video Tapez" and rapper Too $hort and MC Zumbi of Zion I on "Nudez," as well as Chali2na of Los Angeles' Jurassic 5 on "Reckonerz."
You may remember In Rainbows causing a whole lot of controversy last fall after Radiohead opted to release the album online exclusively (it was released in the traditional CD and vinyl format January 1). So it seems fitting that someone had the temerity to remix the album.
Though i was unaware of Amplive's previous work, i'm very impressed with what he calls a re-envisioning of the Radiohead tracks. "15 Stepz," featuring vocalist Codany Holiday, somehow manages to retain the song's original atmospheric vibe while morphing into a soulful, almost jazzy direction. "Video Tapez" takes the ethereal piano of the original and loops a section, adds a crisp beat and the anthemic vocals of Del. "Weird Fishez" is reimagined as a mid-tempo number with samples of the guitar work and Thom Yorke's vocal atop a percolating hip-hop beat. "All I Need" sounds like a completely different track, with horns and keyboard stabs added to a thin beat loop.
Honestly, this is a stunning achievement and comparable to Dangermouse's unauthorized remix of Jay-Z on The Grey Album in 2004. Yes, it's that good.

Big Bone Lick Survives
Big Bone money stays
And we all know how important the continued survival of Big Bone Lick State Park is for Boone County, Kentucky.
"Governor Beshear sees the importance of Big Bone. It's wonderful to see that he recognizes what a jewel it is," said Nancy Jordan Blackmore, who along with her husband owns Jane's Saddlebag (notice the URL Jane's has), an attraction near the park.
Don't forget to check out the handy dandy Big Bone Lick band of the same name!
And this couple from the prehistoric scene are SO down they get to stay put. One love.
